Meet Chris Henry, Maintainence Director

Chris Henry
Maintenance Director

Chris and his staff
are here to make you feel right at home

For Creamery Brook Retirement Village's new Maintenance Director Chris Henry, his job can be succinctly summed up in one word - service.

Chris joined Creamery Brook a few months ago. He previously was chief engineer for the Nathan Hale Inn in Storrs and the Comfort Suites in Norwich. Befitting a career spent in the hospitality industry, Chris places a premium on providing outstanding service.

"With a few notable exceptions, most hotels offer pretty much the same package of amenities. What separates them is the level of service they provide guests," remarked Chris. "My goal is to continue the excellent level of service to the residents here at Creamery Brook. After all, this is their home."

Chris oversees a staff of eight that is responsible for the internal maintenance and exterior grounds of Creamery Brook and Pierce Memorial Baptist Home. He says the best part of his job is getting to know the residents and how appreciative they are for the work he and his staff perform.

"So far, this is the most rewarding job I have ever had," said Chris. "The residents are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I go home every night and tell my wife I've never had so many friends."

Chris lives in Dayville with his wife Charlene, whom he has been married to for 25 years. The couple has three grown daughters.

"In a sense I work for the residents, and that is an honor," Chris explained with a smile. "I get to make people happy. What could be better than that?"
